The Unidollar
$1.00,00
Treatise;
A standard continental American currency could simplify and improve upon economic activity indirectly enhancing quality and quantity of goods and services.
Our currency was designed 200 years ago with zero adjustments since its creation. Dollars are values (fluctuates). Numbers are digits (constant). Technological advance and inflation have devalued currencies to the point of leaving coins nearly worthless. Somewhat like trying to play poker with a pinochle deck. It is difficult to predict results.
In June of 2006, a move to eliminate the penny as a worthless coin was seriously considered, but the penny was preserved on the grounds that the penny was still very essential in getting 'charitable contributions'. Via progressive deductive reasoning the economy is moving currency to a binary standard of zero and one or, yes and no.
The magical jingle of coins made of precious and semi-precious metals is an important part of the economic system.
The right side of the decimal is for personal items. The left side is for business. Hence the popularity of the Dollar Store. With Unidollar it would be the 5&10¢ or Penny Store.
Cause
Technological advancements in transportation and communication have brought about a considerable increase in continental mobility and interaction.
Relentless inflation, as measured by cost of living increases (4-5% per year), eventually results in a devaluation of currency.
Solution
As I calculated in 1989, moving the decimal point one place to the left would have made the federal deficit of $1.7 trillion ($1,700,000,000,000) be reduced to $170 billion ($170,000,000,000). In the case of the Double Decimal Point Shift the deficit would be a comprehensible $17 billion ($17,000,000,000), not an astronomical $1.7 trillion. Such an event would achieve the goal of President Reagan to lower the deficit by $1,683,000,000,000 or one trillion, six hundred and eighty-three billion dollars. I used four digits. Most, if not all, verbal transactions are two digits and the second digit is usually a zero for half of the transactions.
Research
Further research is dependent upon acceptance and remuneration. After the French Revolution of the 1770's, 100 francs had the value of 1 franc. After World War II, the 500 mark note had the value of a 5 mark coin.
Can the Unidollar be backed up by the total net worth of the participating American continents? This is a question to consider.
The Eurodollar of Europe, conceived in Bonn, Germany in the early eighties, has greatly enhanced the prominence of the participating European countries. Great Britain joined the Eurodollar Reserve at the turn of the milennium. Unidollar would have to be supported by some standard valuables presented by each participating country. More study of the functionality of the Eurodollar is in order. A duty could be imposed on each transaction for each country involved.
The Eurodollar is progressing rapidly in acceptance and many studies are being made to forward its more liquid dominance. I understand the Eurodollar made its entry into the monetary system via the government and business industry.
Simple Math
'U.S. Current account deficit which hit a record $805 billion in 2005.¹6
In fiscal year 2004 (10-1-03 to 9-30-04) federal income was $1.9 trillion and outlays were $2.3 trillion leaving a deficit of 0.4 trillion.¹7
America's deficit: ..., $4.3 trillion, the National Debt: $7.937 trillion.¹8
With Unidollar currency:
$8.05,00 billion deficit in 2005.
$19.00,00 billion in federal income, fiscal year, 2004.
$23.00,00 billion in federal outlays, fiscal year, 2004.
$4.00,00 billion deficit, fiscal year, 2004.
America's deficit: $43.00,00 billion, the National debt: $79.37 billion.
New home: $2,500.00,00 or two thousand, five hundred Unidollars.
New car: $333.00,00, or three hundred and thirty-three Unidollars.
Gallon of gas: $0.02,99.9 or 2.999 cents.

Hip-Hop culture has long glorified the almighty dollar. But the greenback has fallen on such hard times—it hit a new low this month against several foreign currencies—that even rap moguls are turning on it. In the video for his new song "Blue Magic" (off an album called "American Gangster," no less), Jay-Z can be seen flashing stacks of euros. On the official Web site for Wu-Tang Clan, the New York rappers who coined the phrase "dolla dolla bill, y'all," the group lists its new CD price in euros only. And reports flew last week that supermodel Gisele B?ndchen is insisting on being paid in euros, not dollars, though her sister, also her manager, has denied it. (Jay-Z and Wu-Tang did not respond to requests for comment.) "When pop culture starts doing what the most sophisticated financiers are doing, it makes you think we might be really screwed," says Howard Davidowitz, chairman of a New York investment firm. New euro worship could spark what market pundits call the "point of recognition"—the moment when the public finally wakes up to a market trend. Jay-Z, as usual for the man of a €372 ($547) million empire, is ahead of the curve. "He's very aware of what has the most value," says Rafi Kam, founder of Oh Word, a hip-hop blog. What's next? 50 Cent may have to rechristen himself 50 pence.
